In times of major disruption, teachers are pulled from many different directions – we are parents, family members, citizens, but also leaders, educators and language professionals who have to keep calm and carry on. In this webinar, we will talk about resilience and the tools that can help us make sense of tough times, support the people in our care and continue to do our job as teachers.

Presenters – Pablo Toledo and Alberto Costa

Very useful webinar, I live the phrase "Do not judge me by my sucess, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again" It is difficult to be resilience as teachers, and harder to help students to develope this skill.

Resilence is important because it allows us to visualize how I am and how I can strengthen my fears and how to achieve the established goals but also help others. Thank you so much

It is a useful webinar because we can realize ideas, feelings or problems that teachers face. I consider that most of us have experience a lot of feelings in this online teaching.

This information will be very helpful to me, since teaching online classes and face-to-face classes is very different, because in online classes you do not see your students, you do not realize if they are really paying attention to you and in face-to-face classes you can Have interaction with your students and help them more easily with their doubts.

Very nice seminar. I have a great tool I been using for a couple of years and I think is the best tool or program for learning english i have ever used: the English Contest League! Simple the best!

Hi, thanks for the webinar. I have listened to it and got some good info from the links. However I feel the fundamental aspect of how the children are able to connect with you digitally is the most important aspect of teaching online. With Coronavirus we have been thrown into a situation of teaching students, some of who'm don't even own a laptop, but they may have a mobile phone. Or they may have a laptop and no wifi. The webinar is so totally abstract that the concepts leave me wondering which type of technology is being spoken about. The ability to communicate tecnhically is the most important aspect of teaching online.

The subjects of videos has been mooted without, explaining your assumption that some teachers supposedly wish to prepare their own videos and post them to students to give an explanation of some aspect of English grammar for example. I may be wrong here but creating a video to teach English language when so many written explanations and videos already exist is like trying to invent the wheel at a great cost to a teacher's valuable time. You're not talking about how the classes are executed. You're assuming we know that? I have been doing some classes by Whatsapp on a mobile phone with the children having a laptop to hand. I am getting technical problems but it's going OK and we ARE learning. But there are so many ways to do this and a more technically focussed video would have been a better use of my time. Do you do the exercises live as I do? Do they print and fill out the exercises away from the class using a printer? Do you provide software for them to digitally fill in the exercises so they can post them back to you through the cloud? an overview of those kind of technical issues would have been of interest to me. That is "what really matters" to me.

Best wishes and health from Spain.

Hello, I think in some point of our lives "resilience" has to be developed and with this actual worldwide situation, we had, we have and we will have to face the adversity in every aspect of our daily routine, that includes our jobs as teachers, being an example for the students.
