Test briefing

Outside the car

The test will last about 40 minutes, and you’ll do about 20 minutes of independent driving. I’ll ask you to complete one manoeuvre, and we might also do an emergency stop.

Which car are you using?

Will you read the number plate of that car, please?

I’ll just ask you a few questions about your car and vehicle safety.

If you want to get into the car, I’ll join you in a moment.

Inside the car

Throughout the drive, continue ahead unless traffic signs direct you otherwise. When I want you to turn left or right, I’ll tell you in plenty of time. Move off when you’re ready, please.
