I watched this video 6 months ago and I felt so overwhelmed. I am here to tell whoever feels the same way this… “it gets better, just keep learning..”

I am a 20 years old Senior Full Stack Dev, and although I have been through every and each step of this roadmap mentioned, I often have to go back to them and revisit or dust it off one or another or learn something completely new. So if you're a junior or less and already feeling overwhelmed, dont give up. I also feel overwhelmed after 20 years on the road. The good news: I make a lot of money and I can quit a job for the slightest annoyance a company gives me and guaranteed I'll find a new one within less than a week.

I am studying Java for nearly 2 years in the official documentation and still in the basics concepts. I hate courses that promises 'learn to code in 6 months' or 'from zero to hero in 2 weeks' (shitpost). Coding is a lifelong learning.

amazing roadmap.. as a software architect of 20 years I've used most of the tech stack described and seen the environment changed so much.. this is a perfect introduction to the current state of things. thanks!!

I wish I would have known this 2 years ago. I would have structured my whole learning process differently. This is amazing content that I'm going to share on multiple platforms to help others.

I have clarity now. I don't just have a bunch of puzzles pieces with no clue how they fit together. I have actual clarity!
Thank you!

I enjoyed the video. As someone that works in the field, I just want to share a bit what I've learned. The most important thing is to keep things as simple as possible - do only what is asked from you, there is no need to implement visitor pattern whenever you are asked to add an endpoint to the API. Also, don't stress about how much there is to learn, take it one step at a time. If you don't want to learn some things mentioned in the video, you will be fine, you will learn it along the way while doing something else. Google is your best friend, if something goes wrong, you can search for it. If you can't find an answer, ask someone to help (people usually like to help others). Another thing is overthinking the job listings (like "I don't know most of these things"). I applied for jobs where I knew very little from the listing and got a job because they saw I was willing to learn. Companies know that you can't know everything they list and that they will pay you months and months without getting value, but when you learn their practices, you will be great addition to the team! Keep coding, don't give up and don't let things overwhelm you.

Thank you. I just dropped out of a coding school because I realised full stack wasn't for me and they didn't spend enough time on backend for me to really get it. Backend is what I want so I am going to teach myself from this roadmap on top of what I already know and aim to be employed by January. This video is exactly what I needed to figure out where to go and why I want to do it. Thanks, man.

You are a great man! I am a regular learner who learns every day. I am using LinkedIn learning, skillshare, and Udemy too. I leave LinkedIn last month because of the high price. Now I am learning from skillshare. But what is the point? The point is I never found a voice like you. I never found a teacher like you. I am a freelance graphic designer working for 5 years. But now I learning web development and I am following your roadmap. You are just a great man! I appreciate you.
