She got lucky, she had a few options to stop in a safe spot but kept going, even unnecessarily crossing underneath the path of the avalanche again, putting herself in danger.

When I see these videos, I'm always curious when the skier/snowboarder realized there was an avalanche. I find the combo of helmet and goggles kills my peripheral vision, and I can easily imagine things going to shit all around me and taking an embarrassingly long time to notice.
