The new way is to install In Music app and install the driver for your MPC model. Took a min to find out but now works!

Unbelievable contortions just to get everything ready... I got my mpc today and spent all day trying to get everything up and running. I-lock wont accept some key codes ... back and forwards between sites, back and forward downloading all over the place. The system needs to be streamlied. One click FFS. Also, hell knows how I get content expansions.. I bought a couple to get me going and they are not showing in the Inmusic registration zone. It's a joke.

I have a new MacBook Air 2024 and I’m not seeing how to download the driver for my MPC LIVE. I haven’t been able to find the driver installer program that allows me to choose the MPC LIVE for install. I have MPC2 on my MacBook but when I connect the MPC LIVE it keeps telling me the driver isn’t installed. Feel like the answer is right under my nose but I could use a little help.

This video already seems out of date. I just purchased an MPC Studio Mk 2 and tried to install the software today and instead gives me the MPC Studio Software Manager. Unfortunately something seems broken in the activation process as the Serial/MPC key provided doesn't activate the MPC software

Ok, I have been trying to figure this out since January. I have an MPC X SE and I followed these steps all the way up until it says SYNTH MANAGER. Synth Manager does not exist on my 2.14 software, nor on the previous version. PLEASE HELP. I just want to make music.

Had the Live 2 since release. Never used controller mode. Just got Stems, it will not connect to controller mode. It says the drivers are out of date. What? I’m on version 2.14 on both the software and on my Live… Where tf are the driver downloads??! I can’t even use Stems.

thank you for posting this, this whole System is a joke. I first got it took me all day to get it shut up couple months later I get a new computer and back-and-forth. I lock an app Kai and I don't have a file for that file for that. It's taking me a week to get the app on my new computer. It's almost enough to make me go somewhere else

Wow, what a mess, Akai doesn't get it. How many accounts and activations do people have to make to use this. What is this ilock crap, it's the reason I went away from Akai. I just wanted to set up a used Mpc Live with the latest software and work immediately. I saw the Akai process and went with a used Roland MC-707, plugged it in downloaded the update with no account needed and was working minutes later.

Akai is such a headache. I got my MPC professional 11 years ago and there were so many issues with either the serial number, or using the MPC application and I contacted them for help and they never got back to me and I was never able to use it until today and there were still issues with the MPC application and not having any samples in it so I can’t even use it still.
