Mental Canvas: Drawing Reimagined -- Lightbox Expo 2021

In this presentation, Mental Canvas Founder Julie Dorsey and Concept Artist Sam Nassour will introduce and demonstrate Mental Canvas Draw. Mental Canvas takes drawing to a place it’s never been with spatial and temporal strokes, 3D navigation, and free-form animations — all drawn with the ease of pencil and paper.

@mentalcanvas great presentation! There are so many possibilities. In the past, engineers used to learn Art as part of their formal education. We've heard a lot about STEM. Some major manufacturers are beginning to value Art again and teaching Engineers about STEAM. 3D CAD may be great to design and assemble a complex product. Mental Canvas would appeal to those who are developing the concept and need to tell the story. Or, for those engineers who are trying to solve a problem of a product that is already in service. Wonderful technology!

Also for a visual artist like myself we would love a version like Clip studio paint where we pay a one-time fee of around 200$. Will that ever be possible?

I paid for this right away after seeing it. I love it, but I have so much trouble using it, lol. I'll get it figured out. Had same issues with Procreate. But getting the hang of it. Just wish we could pull those animations into MC. I would just die of happiness.

How do you export a canvas from MC to Procreate? I'm wanting to rough out the 3D space to make sure it works but do the artwork in Procreate. Any help is appreciated.

I tried to make this drawing, in your app, but since I only have the mouse and the computer, I couldn't even draw and I really wanted to be able to make this drawing effect, is there another way I can do it?

Are there any plans to increase export resolution? Love the app but the export quality is not high enough for me to use it in the way that I would like to 🙁

Uhm I have a question... Why is the Microsoft Windows version like worse? It doesn't even have an erase tool. Pls answer this question cause I haven't been able to find anything about it. It would be much appreciated if u guys atleast add an erase tool. Other than that I think I'll be fine. But just saying, the iOS version seems better and I'm in no position to just buy an iPad.
