The Thomas Flexor Stretch is also known as the hip flexor self-test.
To stretch the hip flexors at the front of the hip, the athlete lays on their back as shown. The other leg is pulled in to the chest and the leg to be stretched is allowed to hang over the edge of the couch. This position can be held for an extended period.

You make this stretch even better if someone was holding down your free knee, then push your free foot underneath the bench.
