Nice to see a reviewer that does not try to destroy a tailgate just to prove that there is no dampening. I would say your reviews are up there with the best. Thank you !!!!

Great comprehensive & detailed review. I enjoy your video reviews. I ordered the Lariat FX4 & loaded it up with all the goodies!! As a previous owner of F150's & Rangers, now that I'm retired I really dont need a full size truck so the Maverick fills my needs!!

I love your organized calm relaxed review style. Your camera work and edit is spot on and a very informational review. My favorite review for mavrick. Thanks

Just found this channel, and I really appreciate how straight forward the review is. No comparison that no one asked for, no complaints that the tailgate isn’t damped when it way .1 pounds. Really appreciate the no BS review and the best part is, it’s an actual review of just the vehicle, not the segment, not if the vehicle will succeed or fail, none of that.

The A\C turning on right away is because since 1997 or earlier vehicles have been equipped with a cabin air filter that's paper just like the engine air filter. It holds moisture but keeps out pollen and dust and other things you don't want in the HVAC system. So the A\C will dry the air so the windows don't fog up as bad.

My 2017 Focus allows me to turn on the HVAC system with any button press or even temperature adjustment ... but I have the dual climate control so it's all electronic control. The XLT Maverick has a single climate control, it might work differently but try pressing the A\C button to turn on the HVAC system and see if that will turn the system on without the A\C.

I use the A\C all year long to dry the air even if it's 20°F or less

My first tuck was a power wagon/360 auto. It had 180 hp. I did cost 4500$ at the time. But this maverick will be a much more practical all around truck
. Better mileage more ponies, more room, probably tow more than the w100. Carries more people comfortablely too. Ford Henry would be proud of this one and the price too!

Thank you, Sam! Great review and look forward to your hybrid review too. Almost bought a Ridgeline last year but glad I waited and put in a Maverick hybrid order instead…just want a simple, straightforward small truck with some modern stuff but nothing fancy and this really hits the spot

Nice honest review! I always enjoy your reviews. This vehicle is built to a price and that is a great way of putting it. I think people forget, if you want something more rugged for rock crawling off-roading, you can buy a Ranger FX4 or something bigger. This truck isn't intended for that. Again, great review!!

Thanks for a straightforward, honest review that doesn't feel like it is paid for by Ford.

Really good review. Reference the concern with mpg and upgrade niceties. I own a 2022 Cyber Orange Maverick XLT AWD with FX4, Luxury pkg., drop-in bed and tailgate liner, sliding rear window, and a few other things. The optional Falken tires have pros and cons: Pro - better off-road grip. Con - they will drop mpg. My truck has the Perelli Scorpion tires and I get 29.9/32 mpg highway and 24/26 around town. The Luxury pkg gives you a power driver seat w/lumbar, two 12v/110 outlets, and several other niceties.

@6:54 a climate control defaulting to A/C is good design. Some owners hardly use A/C and a lack of use can cause issues with compressors (think of grease or oil settling to the lower areas of a unit failing to lubricant the unit).

Hey, thank you for the review. I drive a 1995 F-150 XLT, and I am considering the new Maverick as I have to commute more nowadays, and I no longer need the bigger truck. Your review was really helpful!

Yours is the first I’ve seen to point out the Floating Quarter Panels. Now I’m subscribed.

Excellent job as usual Sam. My Wife’s XLT AWD with The Luxury Package and some other stuff in Hot Pepper Red, has an estimated delivery date of 01/01/2022. Ordered July 2nd

My son ordered one … still no build date. Just insane how the industry has changed over the past 18 months.

Great review as always. I'm looking forward to seeing the more basic hybrid model you ordered. Definitely an intriguing vehicle.

Default to A/C is a benefit in southern states. No better Nav than WAZE. I’m okay with less luxury if performance and handling is good to better. Thank you for your details and opinions.
