My 2 cents, don't destroy all the orc banners to get the keys. If you run out of black diamonds you'll want to farm the orcs. If you leave the banners up the orcs respawn. You can open the orc chests with your pick ax.

Additional Tips:
1. Mauls/Battlehammers do increased damage to armored enemies, Axes do increased damage to trees and unarmored enemies, and Swords are best for hitting multiple enemies.

2. Build an Oven ASAP. I'm guessing you missed this because if youre at the place with elven wood, you should be able to make it. Ovens allow you to make meals and take them with you. Think of these as health potions but also eliminate hunger.

3. Enchant your weapons at the Rune Table. I waited too long to do this myself and it helps immensely. The lightning enchant is great especially when hordes or sieges occur.

My advice for those who are stressed out by the sieges:
Don't build your base on the ground, but somewhere up high. The higher you go, the less likely you are to get attacked by bats. That should also be the height at which archers won't be able to see you.

Platforms help you in climbing. You don't need actual ground to place wood or stone floor. Just attach it to a wall (natural or built). You can also place any of the required objects up there, like hearths or forges.

Sieges at my high base always end without enemy contact. They just give up and disappear after ~60-90 seconds.

Always craft wall torches or standing torches. Darkness consumes Morale. Also if you break pots you'll get seeds. Find dwarven villages near water areas and you'll often find plant pots where you can plant your seeds

i just reached the forge yesterday, when you knock down the center pillars (where the goblins spawn), not only do they not respawn but they all drop the key to get into the chests sitting there. but using a pickaxe will break it a lot faster compared to the axe. we also knock down the bottom walls on the buildings we arent interested in. gives a ton of wood and stone and it collapses everything up top.

Also, you can start all your furnaces and foods and then go to sleep. Once you wake up all of them will be done instantly. No need to wait. Also, later on down you’ll be able to craft meals to go. I’m in the mines now building up my third camp and then going to move on. Playing solo b4 I try playing with others, helps keep the experience fresh 😄

During combat don't just spam the attack button, holding it down allows you to do a power attack for much more damage. Took us quite a while to learn that little nugget.

Once you get an oven you can make lembas bread and jerky and stuff which you can take with you for food and they heal you too

The other big thing...make sure before you put your bedroll down after setting up a base, make sure all the walls etc are repaired/blocked with new walls. And/or make your own hearth etc on the top of buildings...ie if you need to parkour up to it, the orcs/goblins wont be able to figure it out, and as long as you go defeat them and keep them from tearing the whole building down you will be better off.

When you progress through the game, you can craft an Oven (there is also a cooking pit later).

You can craft certain food/meals to heal and keep on you on the go.

There are healing foods that you can use when in danger.

There is QUITE a depth to this game which is impressive.

Hit R and you can throw stuff. Helps a lot with the forge pieces.

The Blue Meter is actually how much armor you have, There is a darker shade of blue behind how much you're wearing. IF you hit TAB to open your inventory and look down where those meters are you'll see that it tells you. Armor, health, and food. From top to bottom. Not light level....

The size of hordes does scale up with more players, the hordes are just very large.

We were able to store roast meat for later by having a character with full inventory (and maybe full belly?) grab meals which then fell on the floor and could be stored for later. Maybe just a glitch but super nice early game. Or try destroying the table thats full of food (using x) Dropped meals can be eaten on the go, rushing home during a tough fight sucks.

I spotted the first 2 Narvi repair items but didn’t even bother with the orc-men camp so I only had to walk one item all the way from the Elven Woods entrance to the forge.

Also, your roll/dodge has I-frames (I think it’s for the entire animation). That’s a great way to manage hordes solo.

Tip: Press & Hold "E" to automatically collect items on the floor en masse.

5:45 nooo! I'm sorry you had to do that, man! Luckily for me, I found the pipe piece first and figured you'd just need to look around there. All you need to get up is one or two stairs pieces, no matter how awkwardly placed they are, as long as you can drop onto it, all good

not a fan of how they handle armor in this game, just figured I would put that out there in case someone had some insight I do not.

Let me catch a so called self respecting dwarf using anything "elven" and I'll shave his beard.
