From my experience, Ryanair is amazing. Let’s be real here. They’re busses with wings but the pilots are some of the best with a superb safety record. All that and they still have the cheapest ticket price in Europe.

I am from the states….have flown Ryanair several times while traveling throughout Europe. Actually one of them was Air Malta but still Ryanair with a Maltese crew. All the flights I’ve taken have been great. I would have to say far better than spirit airlines or frontier here in the states…certainly not worse. In all my dealings, the crews were great. Airport staff has been a mixed bag but again, this is not different than any other legacy carrier I’ve flown as well. I love Ryanair. Yes, these ULCCs nickel and dime you to death but my wife and I, as well as my sons, are very low maintenance and could give a flying rats ass if we sit together…and…we travel light. I’m truly impressed by these guys and will continue to use them. People just need to follow the rules.

I'm irish and I fly ryanair all the time, probably 8 to 10 flights a year on average. They are far from perfect. But I love ryanair. I get to travel from Dublin to so many places for v cheap.

Also, Ryanair tries to make disabled passengers pay for an appropriate seat. Tell them that you need a lift into the plane. When you request a lift they cannot charge you for a seat assignment and you will not have to walk to the plane. I have chronic pain, more in my left side. So I need an “A” seat so that another passenger doesn’t hurt me by bumping my left arm. Using the lift, I was the last person to board. The smiling passenger nearest me said, “We are so glad you made it.” Gotta love fellow travellers.

Another superbly well-produced and informative video! I've never flown on Ryanair, but now I know what to expect. Thanks!

PS, I had no idea that Lux Airport had so much cargo traffic, amazing to see that many 747 queen of the skies.

I think a lot of the "problems" with RyanAir
as perceived by passengers
are that they expect a regular airline
but at a budget price.

I've flown on Ryanair to around 4 destinations. They are just like any other airline, and their luggage policy has improved a lot in the last few years. Their prices on board are reasonable, crew isn't very friendly but professional indeed. And I had more legroom on Ryanair than I had on Transavia.

Very accurate assessment of Ryanair. 6 out of 10 is a score I agree with. If you don’t have much luggage, can cope with the discomfort, and willing to arrive 50km away from major cities, then it is a pretty good service.

I rarely fly, but when I do, it is the journey to and from the airport and the frequency of service which helps me decide who I fly with. Bristol airport is the closest airport to me. It is served by low-cost airlines, but the cost of local transport is so stupidly high. The flights aren’t that frequent, so you may end up staying an extra night in your destination, which adds to the cost.

I completely disagree with you, when you say that since they haven't committed to a friendly staff, one cannot expected. Being polite, friendly and professional is not going to cost them money or time and it is a must.

Passengers coming out at the same time the next ones are boarding. How can you expect cleanliness?

I just took RyanAir from Greece to Germany. I paid extra for seat selection and a checked bag (wrist injury so cannot lift cabin bag.). In total came to just 150euros rt, whichmis less than half of what I paid on other carriers. The flights were excellent and ontime. In both flights people tried to claim my seat or create havoc by switching seats. The cabin staff was professional and polite as they settled everyone down. One landing wasn't perfectly smooth, but I've had worse. My bag was out within 10 minutes. I thought that the entire experience was fine and great value. Oh yes, the flight schedule times were excellent, easy to arrange airport transportation. I did buy a special RyanAir underseat backpack 40x25x20 😂 And carefully weighed my suitcase so that I did not have any problems.

"Leg room is pretty bad"
proceeds to show your knees not even close to touching the seat and a full hand of space in between them

Due to fly with Ryanair soon. We have not booked seats. Looks like they don't try and sit couples together, unlike other airways. Also hear their landings aren't great.. as a nervous flyer now worried !

I love Ryanair … if it wasn’t for Ryanair I couldn’t get to Germany to watch my football..Eurowings do flights but usually three times the price … Never had problems with them 👍

Make sure to consider that there was an empty middle seat. This accounts for at least 50% of inflight experience.

In relation to flight time and punctuality, all airlines whether low cost or not add in a buffer for flight duration to allow for delays etc. So not something Ryanair can be accused of alone.
