The Moody Blues Gypsy

From the album "To Our Children's Children's Children".

Pioneer 10 Space Rock Series (5 of 12) I also sent in a Moody Blues song for Bicycle Day last year, but the album this song is from, 1969’s “To Our Children’s Children’s Children,” is one of the few with which I was intimately familiar in their entirety until I started going through my dad’s records. It’s their fifth, a concept album about space travel that they began recording and producing a couple months before the Moon landing and finished a couple months after. Supposedly the Apollo 15 crew listened to it in the capsule on their mission a couple years later. It’s one of my favorite albums, and this song is great too.

They took Days of Future Past into space. Some years later one of the astronauts had the cassette framed & gave it to Justin Hayward the singer songwriter of this song . He’s their guitarist & principal singer songwriter

411 wasn't a number for general information, it was "directory assistance" to find telephone numbers if you didn't have a telephone book available, and that's what the operator would say when they answered. Dialing a number to get general information like using a search engine would have been nice but logistically impossible.

In my opinion their concerts don't do justice to the records. The live version of Gypsy which I heard recently left me needing to hear the real thing. Btw one of their unique things was the mellotron
