To be fair, Homer deserved that insult. After all, he is a father now, and as a parent, you should always care about your children, how they feel, or at least hear them out and listen to whatever is upsetting them and try to comfort them in any way that you can, (even if you don't think it's important), because Marge is right. You have a great impact on your kids and kids learn from the way they were raised by their parents into their adult lives.

1:04 Consindering what she found out about her father being a "pilot", Marge is speaking from her heart here. Also, at 1:14 you can see that Homer is getting a nervous sweat. Nice little details from the animators.

It's so funny and silly but it is kind of interesting that Lisa knew exactly what to call Homer that would hurt him the most and make him truly care about what she was feeling

Five seasons later, Lisa needlessly ruined Homer’s barbecue. If she shouted “BABOON” at him after that, she would’ve looked like the asshole.

This is my favorite episode of the simpsons. Its not the funniest or the most quotable but it just gets to me because of how raw it is. Ive been coming back to it for years.
