You were treated without anaesthesia because anaesthesia was banned by the idf from entering gaza, they do that even with their own people in the hospitals. They don't have a choice, but to see that they did what they could so you would survive that speaks volumes of how they did not treat you badly compared to what idf soldiers do to their hostages.
