At last! Someone who is as bothered about the deterioration of language as I am. The worst offender seems to be "your" vs. "you're". And not just on social media, but also in public advertisements. Likewise "receive", which is all too often written as "recieve". The names I've been called when I make the usual corrections cannot be repeated here.

Perhaps I'm paranoid, but to my view language is a pillar of the civilization it represents. The grammar errors that seem to be spreading like wildfire indicate serious cracks in that pillar. That is not a good thing by any standard.

I cannot believe you didn’t include the famous, and incredibly annoying “I could care less”.

This one really boils my piss as it clearly makes no sense when inferring that you don’t give a crap, implying that there is less of a crap to give but you’re not quite there yet.
