My Trans Daughter's First Time at Pride 🏳️‍⚧️ *emotional

So Edie has been living as a girl a few years now and has been seeing a gender therapist to help her navigate some of her emotions during this experience. She has yet to make any changes other than appearance and name/pronoun and won't be for many years to come.

But i really wanted her to see her community and no she isnt as alone as she might think. So when Surrey Pride came to our town, we knew it was time!

*I think most people watch my videos on their phones, so i decided to try and see how you like this aspect video that fits in your phone better, rather then a normal youtube video.. let me know if you like it?

As someone with gender dysphoria, I'll say this: let your child go through natural puberty. Don't use puberty blockers, and don't encourage or allow surgery. Wait until your child is physically and emotionally muture and able to make an informed decision before going down any medical route.

yall in the comments are.. insane. do you honestly think a 6 year old has the mental ability to CHANGE THEIR GENDER? without any influence from the father? every kid is curious, but that doesnt make them trans. yall are crazy.

Wait till your kid is older please. They’re still a child and might not actually mean what they say or think it through, but if they want to wear feminine clothing yeah ofc they should

How on earth does a six year old even comprehend this ?? It’s not even part of child's vocabulary or comprehension unless coached or indoctrinated. So sad!

As a transgender woman myself I really appreciate Edie’s father for being so supportive. I wish my parents were supportive and well aware on how to deal with gender non conforming children. It’s really sad to see so many sick and transphobic comments here. My parents came to terms with my trans identity lately. Best wishes to Edie and her family. Loads of love from India 🌈🇮🇳

HE is going to grow up and see HIS mistake like the 42% of trans adults (that transitioned as children) who killed themselves. Because it’s tOtAlLy ok to make a kid’s “dream come true” when their brain isn’t fully developed.
