I got an inside look at the OOD factory in Houston to see how they build a line of homes that have mirrored glass on three sides. While I was there I met up with Antonio who runs the OOD North America operation and he showed me around the factory. In this video you'll see OOD Homes at different stages of completion and get a look behind the scenes in their factory.

Cool behind-the-scenes look. @8:03 Would have loved to hear how the state of North Carolina inspects and approves the house in Texas and any plans for other states doing the same. That's a pretty big win for OOD and selling into North Carolina.

I might be going to the open house tomorrow, I’m excited to see the new units. I did a private tour very early this year and they didn’t have much yet for me to see so it would be nice to see more built out models. I’d love to have one!

interesting design and construction - seems to be built more like a skyscraper with a curtain wall? would love to see architectural details on how they are getting around thermal bridging back to that frame.

I really like this mini home and the bathroom glass opacity doesn't bother me, like you wouldn't have that street or driveway facing anyways, as long as you don't get a creepy deer staring at ya at 2am while you're showering, you're fine lol. Bird worries can be sorted with a lil bit of effort and smart storage options... So like obviously with quality there is $ but meh..

The wonderful thing is that there are so many options, more and more companies making stuff and competition and different designs so choice is awesome ❤
