My MacBook Pro's keyboard SUDDENLY MELTED

Ok guys, something really strange happened to my mac's keyboard...

Hi I was just wondering if there's any updates? Just happened to me today to my MacBook Pro that I bought in November 2023. I always leave my laptop on my desk open & it wasn’t that hot today considering winter in Melbourne (AU) and I only left the desk for a few hours. Came back with melted keyboards, I cried! Not even liquid or hot iron near next to it! Didn’t even happen to my other MacBook Pro (2012) that sits next to each other. Read a few comments on reddit & tiktok that Apple won’t consider this under their warranty.

My old 2020 i7 MacBook Air keys melted too, due to how hot it got (which was all of the time)

Since it was ordered from the German website. It should be covered under european consumer protection laws.

Damn, sorry to hear this. Hopefully they will fix it free of charge, but I know Apple has a habit of charging customers for fixing their own manufacturing issues

Wow that’s weird!
I’m happy to hear that it was limited to the keyboard meltdown, this could’ve gone much worse. Thankfully no injuries or property damages were caused 🙏🏻

Serious investigation is recommended, I think you might wanna leave it at an Apple store and never use it until everything is clear.

Mine right now. Forgot it was in the trunk of my car in the Florida sun. It's just the right side too. I can't stand the chemically plastic smell.
