It's the connector for the HDD. I found out that in a certain diagonal position, it worked, then placed it gently upright or horizontally, pc froze. Opened up and found out that the SATA cable itself was faulty. But it's difficult to replace since it's looped under the front fan.

I found a solution that I wasn't able to find online. On my Alienware x51 r2 version I was tired of removing ram sticks and inserting them back over and over and after PC turn off it wouldn't turn on... until one day that trick didn't work anymore and I was forced to investigate more. It just had that click sound, then it wouldn't sound at all!!! I removed everything like in this video and found out that it was something loose in the power board. Although I don't know which specific component, it was definitely there. All actions in other parts had no effect until I started using Contact Cleaner and tightening up everything there. Then I inserted ram, then tried, then I turned off, added GPU, then turned on, then added HDD and DVD drive, turned on fine until I connected all audio, USB, LEDs. It kept turning on fine. In my case, the problem was definitely the power board. Also, some GPU needs the 330watts power cable instead of the factory 240watts one, so that fans can power up along with GPUs correctly.
