The statement that all galaxies are moving away from each other is patently untrue. Many, many galaxies have collided, which would be difficult if they were moving away from each other. Our own galaxy will one day collide with the Andromeda galaxy. I've always thought it was meant that, on average, most galaxies are moving away from each other, but then it should be stated such.
