It's also important to note that the guy who set up the experiment with the two boats and the telescope didn't even use the proper curvature math. He deduced 8in per square mile, that doesn't create a sphere or circle, it creates a parabola.

My favourite thing is this one documentary about flat earthers, where they accidentally prove that the earth is round, and then they go: This was not an accurate experiment, we need more research!

To summarize: people are willing to believe the Earth is flat because they have a lot of distrust in authority, especially government.
