my friend in texas has optimum and it's also been out for a few days. and cox cable just failed the louisiana eas test.

Optimum dont “suck” in general, probably at your area its not much connection. But here in NY my optimum fiber speed on a normal day, connected to a couple devices it runs on 38mbps.. T-Mobile etc not fast like that here either.

I kinda had that same problem back in august where it was out for 3 day’s for us. You should get fidium because I heard that it’s way better and my dad switched us to it because of it.

Just stayed at an Airbnb that had optimum and it was insane! Was pulling 700 down and 50 up like the whole week on wireless. Over Ethernet I topped out at 945mbs down and 70mbs up.

Optimum: Yes, it does sucks every week there's a outage In My area I'm constantly calling Optimum, and they try to send out a technician I refuse cause they want to charge me for there poor cable serive No freaking way they wont get another penny from me except for my cable bill...

I figured it out and got my internet working after 2 days the girl didn’t give me a code and I had to talk to some guy in India 🙄 and I figured it out and then I had to get my security system back working now I trying to get the phone back working this all would have taken 15 mins with the right information it was so ridiculous I’m seriously thinking about finding something else ☹️

Tell me about it my mom n dads router constantly crashed and tv would constantly reset or get shitty picture quality they now have fios at my house whereas my dads florida house has spectrum which my dad takes care of as well

Worst in every imaginable area. Looking to start class action I’ve paid for 1gb speed never tests more than 500s but 20 ft from router starts to degrade. Service sucks, techs suck, the INDIAN tech support sucks their apps suck everything sucks nothing works no can fix it and afters hours on the phone and it still doesn’t work they go into their script and ask if I want mobile service to save 15$ . Thank god streaming will become the norm and cable will be dead and buried hopefully all the execs lose everything including their pensions and 401ks.

Optimum here is Texas is absolute garbage. Weekly outages are the norm and their overseas customer service is abysmal. They actually make Suddenlink look good, if that's possible. I would suggest everyone using their service send a complaint to each state's Attorney General's office and the FCC.

I was having issues, and they sent 5 techs, and none of them could fix it, except for the last one. Guess what, I was charged $500+ because they incompetent technicians didn't know how to do their job. All that was needed was to swap the router.

I spoke with the manager, and they were giving me a free month of HBO, and I had to pay the $500+ dollars. Fuck optimum! If I could switch, I would.😢
