Can you do a video about the Ordinary peptides? They’re cheap and I feel like it’s one of the only ones on the market where you know what you’re getting, a lot of products that have peptides on the label have like 1-2 peptides and often at the bottom of the ingredients list so it’s hard to know if it’s in a high enough concentration to actually do anything and not just a marketing tactic. Love all your videos :)

After I switched my routine to ordinary buffet and zinc oxide sunscreen during the day and lactic acid cream at night, I’ve noticed a tremendous improvement in my skin. I would like to believe even if TO buffet isn’t building collagen, it’s doing a helluva job hydrating, calming and brightening my skin.

I feel like it’s Christmas on Saturday mornings when I reach for my phone and “unwrap” the skincare topic of the day and dive in! I have been waiting for this one so thank you. 😊

Highly recommend purito Centella unscented serum. Has the combo that makes matrixyl 3000, other peptides, ceramide NP, HA, and many more great ingredients. It’s anywhere from $9-17 for 2 oz.

I would have liked to see you talk about NIOD's peptide serums (the Copper Amino Isolate Serum 3 1:1 (CAIS3) and the Copper Amino Isolate Lipid 1 % (CAIL)). To be honest, I would like a whole review of the brand from you. The prices are high, but the products appear promising.

I tried beauty of joseon sunscreen after your last video. Phenomenal! Best ever. I used to use La roche posay anthelios UVMUNE FLUID ( which you don’t have in the US), and it’s excellent, but joseon is even better! Thanks for the recommendation.

helpful. Even those of us who are savvy skincare buyers can get confused by marketing vs. science. I'll still need to watch this video again to get everything, but I will feel a lot more confident about my next skincare purchase.

I would love to hear you talk about pros/cons of different hair removal methods, especially of the face. I thread my eyebrows, forehead, and upper lip once a week and I have no idea if it can inflict damage long term or can make worse spots where I already have hyperpigmentation!

Thank you for making this video! As you said already, peptides can be really confusing, so I really appreciate the breakdown between the 4 different types of peptides. Could you please review The Ordinary's The Buffet serum, which is arguably one of the most well-known peptide serums on the market?

There also many other groups of peptides: brightening, soothing/redness reducing, moisturizing (increasing natural HA production), protecting from dna damage by sun, antioxidant peptides, increasing fat deposits/fullness in skin etc. There are biomimetic peptides which are recombinant growth factors. Good serum with right concentration of right peptides makes my botox last 2–3 months longer. There are only 2–3 good ones and they are expensive.

Love the video! I've seen some real benefits from a couple peptide-focused products!

Argireline: Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (argireline) didn't do much for my skin as an ingredient in other serums, when I added the Argireline serum from The Ordinary to my routine I noticed a HUGE difference in my expression lines! It's not botox, but it does work for me! (Plus, it's less than $10.) You are correct that it doesn't last, because if I miss three day I suddenly look 5 years older.😆

Matrixyl: IDK about some of their anti-aging claims, but the Matrixyl serums from Timeless are some of the most hydrating, plumping products I've tried. After using for a week my skin looked healthier and plumper than I'd ever seen it!

7:09 OMG! I never had botox before but I had a ✨magical✨ sheetmask that firm & hydrate my skin. It has argireline in it!!!! I love the effect and imo best for skin preparation before using makeup.

The one that I use is gangnamist 2x aqua lifting mask.

I have tried SO MANY peptide serums. At least five.... and they have all caused bumps/pustules on my forehead. So I'm so happy to here that as long as I'm using my other actives, my skin won't miss them too much. Thank you for always making skincare more accessible for all of us!!

Hi Dr Shereene, i just wanted to make a correction on the Kiehl's retinol. It is 0.1% retinol but when it comes to retinols, the percentages go from 0.1% to 1%. So the Kiehl's is actually very gentle. When it comes to retinoic acid/tretinoin, the percentages go from 0.01-0.1% - i think you may have gotten the both confused :)

I saw a video by a lady called Cassandra here on youtube where she explained your skin care routine is not fine. Just wanted to let you know that your videos are great, educational and funny. Continue what you do because of us and don't pay attention to people trying to dim your light. You are amazing! 🙂
