Have you figured out yet that I love VoicePlay? I've been saving this one for a while since it came out, and I finally had the chance to tackle "Valhalla Calling" - especially given the original composition is from my good friend Gavin Dunne aka the Miracle of Sound! I am familiar with Assassins Creed, and have seen Kirk playing through this one specifically, but more than anything is the music. I'm excited to see how this composition goes!

Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to VoicePlay performing "Valhalla Calling" from Assassin's Creed for the first time.

Great vid, Elizabeth 🙂 Writing a song that so many people want to cover has been a wild, bumpy journey. It has had upsides and also a few downsides; both in the business realm and in the more creative & personal realm. It has at times been a lot for a 100% independent creator to learn about & deal with, lol.
But for me the good parts have mostly outweighed the not-so-fun parts, due to the simple joy of having inspired people. My 2020 Nordic folk-inspired original version will always be my favorite as I have such an emotional attachment to it, but the Voiceplay cover was definitely one of the most creative & interesting ones I heard

I love in the beginning when Geoff drops into that low note and holds it until his solo part

"I just feel like the heavens broke loose and showered down a cappella goodness. ONE MORE TIME!"
Exactly how I felt when this was released. The Norse gods of music have arrived and blessed us.

I love how Elizabeth just can't stop laughing while pausing randomly just to laugh even more.

He's a little known fact -- Vikings used to rap. It was called flyting, so was pretty epic to see it used in this arrangement.

Your laugh at Geoff's super low notes comes across as a delighted fangirl giggle.😂

My 8 year old son and I are OBSESSED with this song. I love that you mentioned the high wailing because from the very beginning my son said “mom that’s my favorite part” ❤❤

I had given up hope that she'd analyze this one... what a pleasant surprise 😊

I missed your Geoff giggles! Miracle of Sound gave this 10 raised alehorns out of 10. There are so many amazing parts that its hard to pick a favorite. I love Geoff's crazy lows with his smirk. I love Eli's rock god through the roof notes. I love hearing Layne sing and his crazy vocal percussion. I love J and his rap was on point. I love Cesar putting his whole self into this and the video ending as he slaps his fist on his palm is just pure perfection!

You're the first reactor I've seen catch Eli reach up to Asgard for that note at the end! Everyone else overlooks it, my jaw was on the floor when I first heard that banshee that possessed him!

You should see if Gav, aka Miracle of Sound (the one who wrote the original Valhalla Calling), would be willing to do an interview/podcast with you. He’s such a talented singer/songwriter, and I think it’d be a really interesting conversation.

I didn't expect MiracleOfSounds Valhalla Calling get acapella cover. Glad you're reacting to at least one version of this song, it's one of his most popular ones.
Edit: did not expect the rap segment there.

Complete side note. Missed your voiceplay and geoff reactions. You zeal and absolute joy in what yhry produce is totally infectious, and you catch things that i missed. I always notice something new when i watch your reactions whether or not you mention or notice it. You are awesome. Please tell me you are going to catch up on the recent stuff they came out with. 😊😊😊

Geoff's smirk when he drops into didgeridoo-mode... lol...

So happy to see you react to this. To answer your question, Layne does the sound of the door creaking the foot step sounds. He is amazing with the sounds he can make. They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! Geoff hits 3 B0's! Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us that rap indeed belongs in acapella! And Miracle of Sound gave this 10 out of 10 raised ale horns!! Great reaction! This from the Assasins Creed Valhalla video game, but that rap is all J None!!

Gotta admit, this is one of my all time favorites of this group, it is absolutely genius and a piece of musical art

Geoff can shatter shields with just his voice - that's why they had him be the war horn in this one.

I don’t think I’ve *ever* heard Elizabeth giggle and laugh so much! That was waaay too much fun to watch.

Starting from when he came back for "Nothing Else Matters", I have been convinced that J-None's voice has distinctly matured during his time with the military, so far.
