Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper from KRC Genk.
It’s Official, confirmed. Chelsea have completed deal for Mike Penders as the Belgian GK joins the blues in July 2025.
The Deal was done weeks ago with Genk for €20m package as revealed and now made official and formally sealed.The 2005 born GK will stay at Genk on loan this season.
Penders, a Belgium Under-19 international, will join Chelsea from next summer after agreeing a contract with the club until 2032.
Penders made his senior debut for Genk last month against Standard Liege. He kept a clean sheet and, at 18 years and 363 days, became the third-youngest goalkeeper to debut in the Jupiler Pro League.
The 19-year-old followed that with an outing against OH Leuven and will continue his development in the Belgian top flight this season. Welcome to Chelsea and hope to see you next summer
