I think hashtags like #RIPDoctorWho and the like are meant that they are dead as a continuing story or property. It doesn't mean the old stuff is not loved.

Fan service in modern Hollywood is dead.
What they’re doing is anti-fan service, purposely antagonizing the fans in order to get press. They still cling to the outdated idea of “there’s no such thing as bad publicity, ” especially now that all fandoms are starting to fight back — even the Star Wars fans have had enough.

As was said in "Casablanca" "we'll always have Paris" I have the original Star wars trilogy and a lot of the shows that I grew up with on physical media.

There is no such thing as "anti-woke" the opposite of woke is called normal

For those old enough to remember it, the Hays Code, strickly enforced by Hollywood during the 30's and 40's, only begin to be breached in the early 50's when European movies which were not abide to it achived commercial success in the US. Then the Hollywood producers note this, and slowly stray from the Code, which by mid 60's was reduced to an empty shell, until it's final demise in 1968. Woke enforcement in modern movie could probably be twarted the same way. One day, one producer will have the balls to release a movie not woke at all that would be a commercial success, and when this will happen, it would be the begin of the end for the woke movies era.

Nah, the UK just elected Romulus Augustus as PM. I think it's time to tune out of the culture conflict... Bigger problems ahead than rubbish star wars etc.

The best way is to not react at all. Don’t watch, don’t spend your money on it and certainly don’t comment. These corporations thrive on social media. Go buy your favourite shows on dvd and cancel your streaming. To quote a famous saying !! Go touch grass 🤣🤣. As far as these corporations are concerned any publicity is good publicity.
