We recreated this scene on New Years Eve 1985 in a bar in Chicago. Several dozen drunken party-goers just vibing to this to be 19

We re-created this at my university. Unbelievably amazing and one hell of a good time. Probably one of the best Toga parties I’ve ever been to

Play the scene where Flounder and his date enter the room at 0.25 speed.

She's nervously looking offcamera, waiting for the throw, and she nearly gets smacked in the face -- grimacing, yet snapping right back into character with a smile.

I wouldn't be surprised in John Landis himself threw that bottle. Even if it was a prop bottle, that could have done some real damage.

I was in college when this movie came out. My roommate and I were heading home at about 3 in the morning and stopped at a convenience store for something. We were dressed in togas. The guy behind the counter gave us the twice over and asked what was up. We told him toga party. He said, I think I need to go one of those. ;0)
