I do love that they had the ability to manufacture LHR models, but not more standard ones... they didnt HAVE to sell out to cryptominers, they just did it for the cash boom.

I got my gaming PC during that boom, and i had a $2000 budget. My 3060 took up $1000 of the budget. Literally HALF THE PRICE of the whole PC! Currently thinking about upgrading the CPU, storage, and Ram Since costs had to be cut somewhere, and i also just could use some more Ram since i tend to leave multiple programs open at once

I actually have a RTX 3060 Ti LHR. The only problem is, when I have to use Hashcat in CTFs, it's not as fast as a normal RTX 3060 Ti (the hashrate also influences the speed of password/hash cracking)

Man, I feel you on the insane purchase prices. I remember back in 2020, going to my local store and getting an RX 5600 XT for $800 AUD. At the time, that was effectively doubling the cost of my entire system but it was the only way I could get off integrated graphics
