Trucking has become such a hassle. You have zero privacy your getting your balls busted over everything. Just being micromanaged to death. The pay isn’t reflecting the sacrafice drivers give. I hate what trucking has become

These company's have plenty of money for new technologies but none for a pay increase. Their priorities are not in the right place.

Let me say this. I worked for a company who had inward facing cameras in their trucks. When I stopped to take a ten hour break or 34 hour restart I covered up the camera. My dispatcher called me next day asking why was my camera covered. I told him because I’m not driving and on personal time. To make a long story short those cameras are still rolling even if you are not driving.

3. SOME COMPANY DONT WANT YOU USING HANDS FREE HEADSETS NO PHONE PERIOD COKE.
4. TRAVELING TWO CLOSE SOME CAMERAS PICK IT UP. DING.
5. NO SNACKING WHILE DRIVING EATING DING. JUST WENT THREW IT. COCA COLA DID IT AS A POINT SYSTEM 20 POINTS FIRED NO FLEXIBILITY SOMEBODY IN INSURANCE DONT LIKE TRUCK DRIVERS. NEVER DRIVE A TRUCK.
1. ROLLING STOP ON STOP SIGN 15PTS
2. USING PHONE 20PTS FIRED
3. EATING OR SNACKING 15PTS
4. TRAVELING TO CLOSE 8PTS
5. IMPROPER SEAT BELT USE 8PTS. COCA COLA

MOST COMPANYS FIRE YOU FOR TWO ACCIDENTS. BUT THEY LOOKING TO GET RID OF YOU. I JUST WENT YHREW IT AND I TELL YOU NO LIES. PLUS THE SAVING THEY GETTING FROM INSURANCE IS NOT MUCH EVEN FOR A LARGE FLEET. MEANS SOMETHING ELSE COMING. REMEMBER THEY TURN THE TRUCKS DOWN BACK IN THE DAY AND SAID INSURANCE. BUT FUEL PRICES ROSE. I CAN TELL YOU ALOT OF GUY ARE NOT GOING TO GO TO THEM THOSE CAMERA ARE A DEAL BREAKER. I WANT YSLL TO ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS WORD

The idea of becoming a truck driver is not having somebody look over your shoulder... an inward facing camera would be like having a stalker... a stalker would not make a driver a safer driver... it would have the opposite effect.

I worked for a company a few years ago that put cameras in the trucks and they lost a lot of good drivers and never was able to hire enough after that. We were always short drivers after that.

Evidence of what you were doing in case of an accident. The full liability will fall on you and not prime. You will be sued instead of prime.

Truck driving just sucks anymore, ive been driving for almost 30 yrs, 22 of that with R+l. Never have i had any chargeable Accident, or incident, yet im saddled with lane departure, front collision, automatic braking, and camaras. At least ours don't face inward, yet! I got into trucking, because i don't need to be micro managed to be efficient, thats all over now.

I've been had inward cameras since working at my company. You better hope you have an ethical management that won't abuse the surveillance.
