This song is a masterpiece. Listened to it the other day on the radio. The "middle 8" alluded to here is one of my favorites of all time.

Trevor Horn's latest album has Seal doing a cover of Stepping Out by Joe Jackson - it's brilliant.

This album and this song had a huge impact on me as a person and the type of music I listened to. This whole album is amazing. There are some favourites I have other than Crazy (although that is the song that lead that album). Songs like The Beginning, Future Love Paradise, Killer, Whirlpool, Show Me and Violet. Slow songs are not my thing but this album was a game changer back in the day.

I played this whole album on repeat, constantly, in the early 90s which were my late teens. Loved it so much, especially this song and Future Love Paradise. These songs spoke of the rising optimism of the time, a promise which so far has gone unfulfilled but maybe we will still see the resolution in our lifetime.

Coming from a guy from the 80’s and Los Angeles - You have the BEST interviews and well produced segments - that you just don’t see in America! Thank you! (Ultravox, Adam And The Ants one day?)

I remember the shock of listening to the album "XIII" by Mushroomhead, and finding a hidden song at the end... A cover of this song. I never thought I would hear a metal version of this but it totally worked.

I agree with others. Seals music is like no other. His vocal quality and the level of love and attention given to the arrangement, recording and engineering of all the songs was on another level. I kind of reminds me of the way I feel when I listen to Peter Gabriel's music. There is just something that transcends the standard tunes we are used to hearing. I bought his CDs back in the 90's and cherished them (and still do). He is also so intelligent and wonderfully articulate. I love listening to him talk. Feels almost like listening to a spiritual leader that has mastered the art of being human.

I did not know about the background of this song, but now that I know, this and ' Winds of change' by the Scorpions will forever remain the soundtrack of these two life-changing moments that confirmed my idealism for a better world: the release of Nelson Mandela from prison and the fall of the Berlin Wall. They showed me that idealism matters.

Seal heeft helemaal gelijk! Dit is zo relevant aan de situatei van nu, ondanks dat dit inmiddels 4 maanden geleden is. Het geluid achter het nummer maakt het zeker weer relavant tot dit heden!!
