Dion and The Belmonts - I Wonder Why (1958)

One of my favorite little scenes in Christine. Seeing her start up with the song and then backing out of the driveway while its raining and the windshield wipers going. Really great.

Imagine driving a car like Christine down a peaceful road during summer listening to old songs like this

This song suits the 1950’s so well…and Christine as well

This is the record (song) that launched the careers of the Bronx's own Dion and The Belmonts on the LAURIE record label. 4 Italian-American guys from around the Belmont/Arthur Ave.(FORDHAM) section of the Bronx, NYC in the spring of 1958, giving us forever two an' half minutes of pure "Do-Wopp" magic!. Carlo's unforgettable bass intro, Angelo's angelic-high falsetto, Dions SUPERB lead and of course Freddy (RIP) tying it all together. Dion and The Belmonts followed in the footsteps of the Great "Do-Wopp" pioneers and what a great and wonderful legacy of music they gave us! I have always loved this song and always will.  Thank you Dion and the Belmonts for the music and the memories and for being such a big part of our old

"Come on. Come on Christine. Come on baby, it's alright, everything is the same." This song goes off. "OK"

Stephen King may have been a nerd, but without Christine I wouldn't know all these awesome songs

Is it bad that my 67 GTO played this song when it started. But the radio has been broken for years

I was at an antique store and this song just started playing. I said to myself, "Okay, who started Christine up again?"

It is my dream to actually own a 1958 red Plymouth Fury in real life. And it will be complete when I hopefully get my hands on one when I get older. And I finally at last have the chance to drive that beauty with this song playing. Now that would be beautiful... Believe it or not, I actually always listen to this song everytime I get out of school. I love to walk around the building by myself while listening to this, and I also love to listen to this while walking to my house! Gotta say, this is definitely one of my favorites.
