Reupload -- but an older video many of you may not have seen. Quiet day today--But I have a geolocation of a Russian Bastion-P launch location, and some satellite imagery of russian defensive positons for later.

I love the fact you cover the technology being used, from the small scale to the massive!

0:25 "Uber for Artillery" - 👍😁👍 Damn, that got me! Brilliant comparision. The Orcs don't have the slightest chance to develop something similar. 🇩🇪❤️🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini and thanks for all these interesting videos, again and again!

This how UA has such pinpoint accurate artillery, too cool, Russians are constantly complaining about how accurate Ukrainian arty is.

Grateful for the re-up as I missed it first time around. Fascinating and valuable background info. Thanks yet again, Sucho!

I hadn’t seen this before. Very informative, thanks — and at a level I can understand.

Another great video. Thank you for your continued efforts. It is much appreciated 👍😀

Ukraine has my full support. Best wishes from the West Country area of the United Kingdom.

I've been praising the GIS Arta system since I first learned of it in April. I think this has been Ukraine's best weapon (aside for the Ukrainian people) all along. Essentially, Ukraine's military is a 21st century military by necessity, fighting with leftover Soviet equipment and an ever increasing hodge-podge of donated equipment. Russia's military is a 1950s military with 1970s equipment massively hampered by corruption. This war is an exposition on how effective modern military technology and tactics can be.

Suchomimus, kudos for your excellent synopsis of the GIS Artis. It provides a large piece of information regarding the AFU's battlefield success. Indulge my analogy, it is the spinning IT blades in the AFU's orc meat grinder.

Fascinating! I didn't realise that their guidance command and control was quite this sophisticated. UA army = intelligent technology. RU army = brute force.

As a field scientist I’ve been using ArcGIS/Map along with sub-foot hand held Trimble GPS computers and laser range finders for over 20 years. This allowed me to see, sometimes in real-time, where my team was and what things they had found, where it was, their linked notes, photo/videos, and the like.

GIS/GPS/laser systems with a robust relational database and secure datalink is an EXTRAORDINARY tool set that has wide ranging applications, not just for artillery, but even down to soldiers at the squad level.

Won’t be long before squads will have this like they used to have a designated radio-man. Providing insane levels of situational awareness and power which will allow them to move, shoot and communicate like omniscient ghosts.

Thanks for reuploading this. I wonder if they added some method of tracking enemy aircraft/cruise missile. Apparently 🇺🇦 manpad teams receive advance warning and a flight track and can prepare accordingly. Also helps reduce FF

“Uber for artillery” is fantastic. Matching targets to artillery that very much wants to meet them. Very interesting stuff, thanks.

Yes, this is very interesting.. I am interested also in the security they use for the communication protocols and also to secure the physical devices if they get in Russian hands

I hadn't seen this. Appreciate the reup. This system seems amazingly advanced...at least to my limited perspective on current battlefield command and control.

This is insane, such a good idea. One year ago I would have though that this way too scifi or something from a video game but seeing it work is just incredible

PZH 2000 is designed for speed.
- It is one minute to drive out of cover and deploy. During which the fire computer crunches the numbers
- One minute to send up to 10 rounds downrange
- Another minute to undeploy and get back into cover
Given decent distance, the unit os gone before it's own rounds hit - nevermind counter battery fire

This unit is probably why a Russian serviceman says in an intercepted phone call that 'Ukrainians shot seldom but extremely accurately'

Incredible. The Ukraine have brilliantly figured out how to integrate a Geographic Information System, normally used for municipal planning/development purposes, and employing such a GIS system for war. Brilliant.

That explains a lot... how Ukraine with munition shortage can compete with massive Russiian artilery. In phonecalls Russians mention extremely precise Ukrainian artilery kicking their butt....
