How To Fill or Refill a Zippo Lighter

How to fill a Zippo. Its self explanitory, but sometimes it helps to see someone do it before you try it.

Very easy though, should only take you a minute or so.

Thanks for this! I've had Zippos before, but years ago, and I just couldn't remember how much was too much/not enough fluid to put in, I figure it's easy to put either of the extremes in there, but this settled my concerns, my new Zippo is now nice and functional.

You're the first one I saw show what the small hole is for on the felt lift pad. I thought it was to fill through - I assumed the small tip of the fluid can fit right in there so it was made for such..Thanks for straightening this out!

if you ever get a chance when you are down in Beddington go to the Zippo lighter museum. It is a little jewel box and the staff are the best. Case knives are gorgeous too. two thumbs up.

Yes, indeed it does help to SEE the instructions rather than just reading ir seeing still pics. I just watched another of similar title but in my itty bitty iphone screen most if the top of his was cut off and he seemed to add a few steps that you didn't. I now feel confident I can do this--yeah!!! I'm a big chicken when it comes to gas and flame--past life thing plus my hiuse was burned down by my ex hubby firefighter who had gas fumes and flame ignite when he was waxing the gas tank of his

Out of interest, how did this turn out? I figure getting fluid down into the flint-replacement hole would have caused both a dangerous mess and possibly a risky if not unusable flint.
