RTX 3060.
I went with it mainly for VR since my prebuilt did have the extra GPU cable for it. It does run off of a 500 watts PSU, and a i7-10700.
But surprisingly i've been running it for like, 5 months i think? It's never had issues.
I mainly went with the 3060 for the vram upgrade for VRChat. But damn it also makes games like Killing Floor 2 run very nice at ultra.

but only because it was one of the few reasonably priced VR capable GPUs i could find used. got it for about $250 with shipping off of Jawa

Because it's crazy fast for 1440p and will last pretty long, and the 20GB of VRAM is very nice to have!

I am running a rx480 and it has been solid since I got it used. Yes it is a rx 480 but it is good for some simple video editing and photo editing.

Technically it did, look at the MSRP price of older cards like the 1060-1080ti and look at the 3xxx and 4xxx cards, not to mention that the current cards are not only more power efficient but more power but also have better technology attached to them
Edit for comparation the 1080ti cost 699$ at MSRP (when it released 7 years ago ) while the 4070 costs 550$ MSRP

im ashamed to say that i recently switched from a 7900xtx to a 4080 super for 100 bucks more. i did that because i wanted better emulator performance and had a bunch of nvidia optimized games so my performance actually went up by 20% in some games and 150% in emulators. i really liked the 7900xtx but it just wasnt a realistic option for me.
