The War Within (Main Title) (Beta Version) - Music of WoW: The War Within

This is the theme that plays in the login screen for the War Within beta.

And this theme happens to be composed by Adam Burgess, which is really neat! We haven't seen a WoW theme from him since 8.1: Tides of Vengeance, where he composed the "Forsaken Flame" theme. Nice to see him back.

The music is incredible, as always. You've got the classic "Legends of Azeroth" returning, as well as some new themes from the expansion mixed in there. Can't wait to find out what those themes are!

Also, to clarify, the reason why I call this theme "Beta Version" is because I don't think this track is finished yet. In Dragonflight, there was also a "Beta Version" of the main title that was only the first 2 minutes, with the rest of the song being introduced later.

So I'm assuming it'll be the same here with the War Within's main title theme. If not, then I'll go back and edit this video as necessary.

I'm interested to see how this music develops. I really like the percussion towards the end, and those lovely strings too!

Certainly hope there's more to this! Think back to the login screen music for Wrath! It was like 10 minutes, same with Cata. Those were fantastic. Vanilla and TBC were short but still glorious!

Whoa, I like this a lot more than I thought I would. People were saying it's mid, so I had my expectations low but this is pretty good.

It's beautiful! Mysterious and like stepping into a crystal cave lit by fire and lava. Hopeful but also with a hint of a looming threat.

I like this new tradition of having a different composer do the main theme ever since BFA, honestly expected them to circle back to Glenn for this one since it's such a Dwarf focused expansion and how he's pretty much always been the one to do the Dwarf themes, wasn't expecting Adam back. More so expected Leo Kaliski, considering they made him Lead Composer for WoW in 10.2.
Personally enjoyed Jake's rendition more in DF, the iconic strings starting here at 0:21 are a bit too quiet for me, the mix could be cleaner. The opening with the harp is pretty interesting, i'm not sure how i feel about it lol, a part of me loves it and the another thinks it sounds out of place for some reason. I definitely do like the brass and vocals here, they definitely sound strong and Dwarf-like, and the whole thing has that good Dwarf theme to it.
Definitely excited to hear more, there was some clip they had on Twitter, with a few seconds of some track with acoustic guitar and woodwinds, and it sounded awesome, definitely sounded like Leo's work from his other projects. Also hoping there's more music this time around, DF only had like 6 hours at launch, which was very surprising coming from Shadowlands where they just went crazy with like over 16 hours... Maybe somewhere in the middle this time.

I love the new Dwarven/Earthen theme, or Arathi if it’s that, it’s fitting and fresh, and it has an old school Game of Thrones vibe. I hope the rest of the soundtrack is of this quality. I think it’s time the legacy races, like the Dwarves and Elves, get some fresh leitmotifs.

The start of this sounds much more like the traditional login screens which really makes me confused why they made the Dragonflight one so different and bad. Still its far too short and its just not as good as they used to be until BFA/Shadowlands, hopefully this isnt the final one.
