At ReDriven, we’ll be taking you through the pros and cons of a huge range of used cars to see how well they’re going now that they’re a few years old, have thousands of kilometres on the clock, and are coming toward the end of their warranty, or maybe don’t have one at all.

Plus, thanks to our resident mechanic, Jim, you’ll find out what commonly goes wrong with them and what might need to be fixed.

Most importantly, we want to make ReDriven a voice for the most in-the-know used car experts there are...you guys.. See, you’re the ones that actually buy, live with, love and sometimes unfortunately hate the cars we’ll be reviewing.

So we want to hear your thoughts. Hit us up in the comments, or on Instagram and Facebook.

We’d love nothing more than for you to give us as much feedback as possible, so we can make this channel the best it can be.

New/used cars, bikes, boats, caravans, classics, grey imports and more. If it moves...they'll finance it!

You can really appreciate how nice the interior of a Land Rover is while you wait for the tow truck.

When the "What goes wrong?" segment is that long, definitely that's the answer.

I have my disco 5 for the last 2yrs.... by far the coolest jeep i have driven. No issues. These type of videos are available for every model of vehicle, they all have issues. Previously had landcruiser which i loved but serious injector problems which i fixed and continued on for years after. This discovery is a new level of enjoyment.... deal with issues if they arise or if u want to stay wrapped in cotton wool, Buy a bicycle.... lol

I've owned Land Rovers for over 20 years and have been very lucky so far. I've had a D2, D3, D4 and currently a L320 Range Rover Sport (which is essentially a D4 underneath). All of them have been great vehicles. Comfortable, capable off road and stylish. However, my time with the brand is coming to an end once I take delivery of my Land Cruiser 300. Why? Because I feel like I have used up my 9 lives with LR, and reliability is becoming more important to me as I get older.

Best way I could describe land rover is that they make lovely rubbish. I loved my range rover but it's the only truck I've ever had that has made me want to take a bat to it. So so many issues for vehicles that really should be better made for the price. My advice is if you have the money for it go for it just accept it could make you very un happy. I personally have a 03 ranger and a 05 patrol. I love them easy to fix, reliable and they both look pretty good in my opinion.

I work in Emergency Roadside Assist, and these are constantly broken down on the side of the road. Good on you Adam for calling as it is!.

Life is too short to be driving around in boring reliable appliances like Toyota’s and Kia’s. I brought a cheap used HSE Lux with lots of kms (also brought an extended warranty). Love the car and I’m prepared to forgive its reliability.

I have a Landrover discovery HSE luxury. Honestly it’s a great car. 65, 000 miles 5 years old and so far only thing went wrong was a window regulator which was fixed under warranty. The car literally has everything works.
I think the only thing that does happen is the infotainment system takes and extra 10-15 seconds when it’s very hot.
I believe most issues with cars are because of how it’s used, short trips, not being used regularly ect. But if used all the time they are a great runner.

Proud owner of a 2017 Disco 5 (in the signature color Namib Orange). My only regret is not owning this car when I was high school so I could be the coolest kid in the parking lot 😆. Otherwise, love love love my problem free car!

Massage/heated seats for 1st row, 2nd and 3rd row also has heated seats. Sound system is fantastic, the interior is very sleek, compliments on the car in the day and night!

FYI, if anybody considers this an English vehicle consider this; it is manufactured in Slovakia by an Indian company. Nothing British about it except the reliability

Good review! I think you are spot on by saying owning the Discovery 5 is a gamble with the odds not on your side. I think its very true of all new JLR products. I have relatives that own new/ish Land Rovers and the maintenance cost is eye watering. Their off road Terrain Response is fantastic but also infuriating. I'm a massive Land Rover fanatic but I've learnt that any JLR product designed by Gerry McGovern will give you problems. Call me old fashioned but I miss the days when Land Rover had proper engineers such as Gordon Bashford, Spen King and David Bache.

Ultimate LR Discovery for me is my 1996 300tdi. No complex electronics, easy to fix (done head gasket and timing belt etc) and for me, a good looking 4x4.

You already know the verdict the moment you see that it's a Land Rover

I've owned two. Incredible vehicles. Both in their driving and off-road capability and their explosive unreliability. And yet we Land Rover dummies come back for more. I make no excuses for my stupidity
