Mercedes actually introduced that pothole tech back in 2013 with their S-Class. They call it ‘Magic body control‘, lol. It scans the road with specialized cameras 50m ahead to adjust the suspension accordingly. All that with a precision of 3mm.

OMG! Thank you so much for adopting my idea. The trivia was a blast!

the leather finish on the 12s ultra is to imitate the texture they are using on Leica cameras.

I have to commend you on the yaks graphics guys, hit it right out of the park!
Seriously, the small edits here and there add a lot of flavour to the podcast, keep up the great work! ✌️

The Tesla suspension thing feels very Tesla--in that really advanced, really comfortable adaptive suspension systems has existed for decades and the technology is mature enough that you can even get it in motorcycles (e.g. the Ducati Multistrada), but they're going about it in their own much more complex cloud-and-computation driven way for no obvious benefit

What do you guys think about the future of the car? I mean, car centric design is awful for cities and the quality of life of the people, so I imagine in the future we will mostly use bicycles and public transportation.
Of course cars will not disappear completely, it's just that cities literally can't accommodate every single person having a car.
Adam Something last video "Why Roads ALWAYS Fill Up" talks about something I think everyone should know.

TBH I'm surprised DangerOS was even in question. Sidekick had some of the best functionality for smartphones back then, and Andy Rubin was one of the co-founders.

Yay for trivia! That first front face camera phone looked absolutely goofy but I bet people felt so cool

Tesla is not so far ahead. Mercedes and Audi have that feature for years, also for the traffic lights so you know at what speed to go to get green. Do some research before just praising copycats. Porsche have a system to know where to lift the nose of the car so that you don't damage it.

The whole android automotive is kinda scary tbh. We already have issues with google spying on us through our phones, a car really is just that much more invasive. I guess with everyone moving towards always on gps and whatnot it's to be expected just unfortunate. Commenting from my 97 hyundai accent with an apline deck because yes... the stock infotainment system was garbo lol

I think for most consumers the infotainment is something that works once you get used to it and they usually also use phone coupling in the newer cars.
From your perspective as a tech reviewer I can understand that blanket statement.

I knew the front camera one!

I wrote an obscure phone article for Android Police and that was on it
