If anything, he was chilling at the edge of the cliff, maybe morning his family’s death? And just spending time there because that’s where they last were

The theory could be a possibility, however, there are many cliffs out there, so chances are that walking by this cliff reminded Manny of his deceased family & he stopped & stuck around the area until he finished mourning
