Incase you still didn't get it Bumblebee fights back because he didn't know that Sam was there and he doesn't want to be killed because Sam will think he abandoned him and he left him behind so the time when he saw Sam he already accepting his faith knowing that Sam will know why he is gone and his mission as Sam's protector will be done all of the sudden.

I did notice his eyes(pupils) dialate in normal speed watching this movie but it also shows how compassionate Bumblebee is to Sam.

Bumblebee knew Sam would be devastated seeing him getting killed just like back in Revenge of the Fallen when Megatron severely wounded Sam, Bumblebee was devastated. The two of them are like basically best friends.

I didn't know that Bumblebee's eyes change when he saw Sam when Soundwave was about to execute Bumblebee and Bee was trying to fight back

this scene in DOTM always makes me cry or tear up. Other scenes that make me also feel like this are when Bee gets captured by Sector 7 (S7) in Transformers 2007 and when Optimus gets killed in that forest fight in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen by Megatron and teared up a bit when Sam had that close encounter with death in that desert fight.

Yeah he had to change because he accidentally called soundwave barricade because barricade is at the background so he might of made a mistake but it’s alright 👍
