Between this and a possible strike at our ports, I hope people have some canned goods stocked up

This has been one of the worst storms in years. I think many of us were caught off guard. I live hundreds of miles away from the center track of the hurricane and it still unleashed havoc in my area.

So when will US be receiving their aid from the UN or other allied nations?

The government needs to figure out a way to give these poor people an advanced warning, like we get with our tornado sirens. They need some time to get out of the way!

Looks like the federal government should have been building back better instead of passing all the money for Ukraine under the very pretense that our infrastructure needed fixing.

If Donald Trump was President now, he would have moved this hurricane away from the U.S. with a Sharpie and no one would have been hurt and there would have been no damage. Go MAGA!

Incredible. I've been in many hurricanes but this and Katrina are something else each in it's own way.

Our leaders are busy sending funds, our tax dollars, to other countries. We need help here

We had flooding and downed trees in Southern Ohio. So I hate to think about what people down south had to endure. Unfortunately there is still so much that needs to be done just to make it livable for the survivors.
America, let's stop the division of politics and help each other through this catastrophe

Let’s see if this administration helps American people the way they help illegals and Ukraine.

At first I laughed about the beer, but then I also remember that alcohol withdrawals can kill you. Living in the hills I'm sure there's plenty of alcoholism. Something to think about I

I was stuck w/o power in July on the TX gulf coast for a week and was ok until the clouds cleared away and the heat and humidity came back. I feel sorry for those who have suffered much worse. Prayers from the TX gulf coast.

I live in Asheville. It’s insane. We don’t have water, power, or gas. Most of the bottled water was gone yesterday. Some neighborhoods are completely shut off. They say we could be without power for weeks, water for much longer. Can’t use cards and can’t use the atm, most people don’t carry that much cash anymore. Not that there’s anything left to buy. Absolutely nuts and it happened overnight.
