love the story dave . i guess we all did some crazy things when we were younger . i to enlisted in the service when i was 17. didn't do anything that crazy but pretty close, but not enough to not serve . i guess when you're young you don't think so clear .

I like the story almost more than the carving info.

Very nice tutorial Eric, don't think I will be using much MDF though like you say far to much dust when you carve it. Like the stories from your dad though, nice memories to have mate. The only memories I have of my parents are a couple of grainy 8mm films without sound.

Eric you keep it up.! I would give anything to have my Dad on tape, but technology was not there then.

Enjoyed the demo video, but gotta say, I really enjoyed Dave's story. Thought I had lived an interesting life @ age 74, Dave's probably got mine beat. Please continue to do more.

Thank you for the demo! It looks like I won't be trying that anytime soon. Thank you for saving me the headache and money! The stories are great! Much like listening to my grandpa! Very much appreciated! Great job on the camera Vicki!

Hi Eric. I lost my Dad 10 years ago and I wish I'd have thought of capturing his stories. Keep them coming and more importantly keep Dave talking, he's one cool Dad to be proud of. All the best Ian.

Looks like that stuff could be more hazardous to your health. The MDF would be for interior use only. RIGHT?

That grin on Dave's face when he was telling that tale was adorable, I love it. I carve a lot of MDF, without the veneer, but I have modified my router so that my 6.5 hp shop vac is hooked straight to the exhaust port on the back, but I still wear a respirator type mask.
