Hi Rudy!!! I just heard yesterday that Ready Wise has recall on the protein buckets I believe.

COSTCO RECALLED THE 110 SERVING READY WISE, DUE TO LISTERIA. I believe it was the chicken meals.
I was never going to try Ready Wise, after someone I completely trust said it was terrible. Don't know about the new line.

The question is:: Do they use seed oils preservatives and dyes??? Do their products contain glyphosate? End of story.

I have tried several freezedried foods and find that many need spices added for taste. Yes it is expensive and calorie lacking, but in a pinch or short time emergency, they could have their place in being part of your preps.

I don't think it's fair to say never buy this because it is more affordable. I can't afford to stock pile nutrient survival and right now a lot of people can't. When the end comes and we need these things I'd rather have readywise than nothing at all. My preference is Augason Farms, but I'm not going to disregard what any other brand has to offer.

The reason those are so expensive is because they’re packed for “backpacking” backcountry meals so-to-speak. In bulk, their 30-day supplies are FAR less cost. Now while not as fancy, their 30-day supplies, etc give you the calories you need each day (2, 000+ Calories and 50+g of Protein per day). For $279 on their site (so, just $0.47 per calorie). HUGE difference vs their backpacking convenient meals. By the way, they are even LESS expensive on Amazon! ($220, and at that point only $0.37 per calorie).

I’ve used their products multiple times over the years and highly recommend them. They’re pretty tasty!

Readywise makes most of their meal ingredients separate and freeze dry them separately then combine it to the packages that they belong to. That's why the taste isn't there or lost in the process.

Seriously, the sodium is what I really need to watch. Most of the ready to eat meals have way more sodium than my system can handle. That 2nd to last meal, with the black beans, looks the best to me.😋 Blessings.💙

Agree with you on the top 3. Love the bag design. I think people should do what you did. Try them, with the family. Pick the ones they like best, and add a few to their preps. Especially to bug out bags.

I've tried 3/4 of 4patriots food and I'm real happy, considering what the food has to go through before it hits the bag, I've spent plenty with that company and they offer different payment options and a 365 day return policy, i have no affiliation with the company, just saying, I'm only trying too help.

I am fairly careful with what I store, but I also believe in not being a snob in an emergency. There might be things about some of the canned food I have stored back that are unhealthy, but you said it: calories are king. It doesn't have to be what I eat on a regular basis. And we don't know what will happen and what we'll be able to get.
