Crews dig out abandoned mine to find missing Pennsylvania grandma swallowed by sinkhole

The search for 64-year-old Elizabeth Pollard has entered its third day. KDKA-TV's Chris DeRose has the latest on the search for the missing grandma, who police believe fell into a sinkhole.

This reminds me of the man in Florida a couple of years ago. He was sleeping in his bed when the floor opened up under his room and swallowed him up, bed and all. He was screaming for his brother and his brother called for help, but by then he was 30 to 40 feet down into the hole. He could hear him but he couldn't see him or do anything to help. They search for a couplet of days but never did find him. Talk about horrific.

So sad for this woman and her family. I can't imagine what she went thru and it would definitely be a miracle from God if she is found alive. I hope she gets that miracle. My thoughts go out to her and her entire family.

I can only hope that Elizabeth did not suffer. Her kitty as well. Now, as much as it would help family and friends to have her remains retrieved, I pray that nobody else suffers because of this abandoned mine. I grew up in a mining area (although sub-marine), have been down in a mine, and know how dangerous they can be - especially after they've been abandoned for a time. Bless the rescuers, and I pray the family finds peace.

Miracles do happen and i pray the family gets one. I know its hard to be positive when time is going by without any signs of her.
