Are eco-friendly pond pools the future of swimming? David Butler of Norfolk, England @organicpools-davidpaganbutler designs, builds, and teaches people to make their own DIY organic pools. The author of Natural Swimming Pools invented a sustainable swimming pond – a hybrid between a pond and a pool that’s safe to swim in (and drink from). Using only circulating water and no chemicals, Butler’s eco-pools are animal friendly, low-energy, and all natural.

I wish this was a possibility in Florida, but with our gators I wouldn’t advise it.

No, get an ozone pool if you don't want to use chemicals or salt.
Natural pools are mosquito magnets.

I'd love a wildlife pond, and I'd swim in that, but idk about drinking it. What about bacteria, worms, protists, parasites etc etc

What about mosquitoes? Usually mosquitoes breed in stagnant water.

(Here in US) This pool is not up to code for swimming! Pay a fine and demolish the stucture. You should not drink from none steral contament.

Not a good idea for tropics where this could quickly become a haven for mosquitoes, worms, frogs, parasites and worst of all snakes. I already see Floridians worried about gators so there's that too. Only good for colder regions. Looks beautiful though!

If we did this in Florida, we'd have gators..

That's a lot of trust that a kid hasn't peed in there.
Looks beautiful, but I don't think I'd ever drink the water on purpose.
