Phoenix Mall Robbery | Forensic experts currently on the scene

A police officer has been shot and injured during a robbery at the Phoenix Plaza, north of Durban.

It's believed at least fifteen armed gunmen entered the shopping complex and robbed a jewelry store.

According to security company- Reaction Unit South Africa, a security guard was also disarmed of his firearm. The gunmen opened fire as they were fleeing the scene, injuring the police officer and another person.
