For those wondering, the plants are pearlweed, and there's no fish because it's too small for them (but shrimp would work great if you're thinking of trying it yourself!)

I have a 3-gallon tank with a 10-watt heater and a 10-watt air pump connected to a sponge filter. The substrate is black gravel, which makes it easy to spot any food that falls to the bottom. This substrate is highly durable and doesn’t break down over time.

I perform a daily 5% water change, using a 20-ounce cup, which is approximately 5% of the tank’s volume. This routine helps keep nitrate, ammonia, and nitrite levels in check. I repurpose the discarded water by using it to water my indoor vegetable plants.

If you leave the plants with their roots submerged in water but their leaves out of water, they will grow about 10x quicker

Just get an extended cleaning brush. I've gone through way too many magnet cleaners compared to a brush.
