VIPKid Smart Demo Lesson. September 2020. New requirements! Some things have changed. In the VIPKid hiring process, the Smart Demo has specific requirements, as I lay out in my other Smart Demo videos. But something has changed to the expectations. Hear my thoughts and recommendations as I await a reply to my ticket. Referrals, reach out in the comments and if you are recording a smart demo this week, please include these new tips in your recording, along with my other smart demo tips. I came across your video a few days ago just before filming my smart demo for VIPKid. I took your advice from the video (giving rewards, correcting student mistake) and I passed it at one go! Your video and the tips were super helpful and I really appreciate it!

HAPPY UPDATE: My first referral to follow these new recommendations PASSED her Smart Demo! She rewarded four times (yes, on one slide. 🤪) and pretended the student made a mistake and corrected them in a positive manner. Hi Jen! Do you know how long smart demo results should take? The app says 24 hours, but it's going on 48h since I uploaded my demo and it still says "waiting on results".

I haven't had any fail this week...I've had one that never got her results, it still says to wait for her results, but it has been several days now. However, I know of a few other teachers that have seen the same feedback...It will be interesting. Because 3 rewards while teaching that 1 slides is awkward!! :D

Update: re: my ticket. I was asked to share the emails with VIPKid of my referrals so they could investigate further. I need my referrals’ permission to do that. I replied that I would need to gain permission to share this info.
