The full set of clips will be used to make another video, but here are just two clips from several more filmed on this day, these being used to illustrate and discuss the locations of a set of five speed cameras recently erected, spanning the A4069 Black Mountain Pass between Llangadog and Brynamman. Anything over 40 mph is too fast, apparently ...

You hit the nail on the head there Paul, "money, power and control" They do not care about you or me, we are just the poor people who have to pay for it all. Nice little bike that.

I'm so pleased my youth was in the 70's, life was so different, and better in every way I can think of. Progress is an illusion where even peoples ability to think for themselves is being eroded . Oh well the powers that be cannot control or take away memories.

very windy on the black mountain those cameras might blow down

Thanks for this. Should be possible to enjoy the road on an upcoming trip we are doing by making a stop at the top car park before passing the camera at the summit. Then do the same on the way down.

Agree with your sentiments there. I wonder what the official stats / metrics are regarding accidents over the mountain say over the last 20 years?. Could be the odd incident with the fast lads otherwise I would say very low maybe not a blackspot. Not many schools or industry in sight definitely looking like a revenue driven project. Anyway thanks for sharing the journey 👍

It would be interesting to know if there has been a significant decrease in stock losses and accidents up there. Fun little bike? Did Triumph sell a lot and who to? Speed cameras always wind up on popular stretches of road.

I am surprised remotely placed speed cameras like that have not spontaneously combusted, they are apparently prone to doing that

This was half of the reason i gave up riding the modern high speed superbikes and kept to riding the older british stuff.dont see the point of having big horse power machines anymore.its gone just the same round lancashire where i live with cameras and big speed reductions on the roads i used to ride on .anyway on another note great set of films this weekend very enjoyable.cheers

Nice little ride out for you Paul, even if the weather was overcast . I think you're falling in love with the cub again, who wouldn't . Regarding the revenue generators, please don't just accept it as " the way things are going" . Complain to your local councillor / MP . Push back !

The type of people bringing in all of these ridiculous restrictions are to my mind the exact one's who should not have a vehicle licence at all & only use public transport

France has become horrendous for speed detection I spend more time now than ever trying to see who’s and what is trying to bust me and yes it’s big money earner and a tax collection😢

I generally refer to those cameras as "daleks". I wouldn't mind exterminating a few of them, they're just there to generate money. In my neck of the woods, someone was nicked by one of the early ones so he went back and burned it down. Difficult to blame him. 40mph sounds like an arbitrary figure, unrelated to safety, IMHO. If road safety is really what the authorities care about, how about fixing bloody potholes?

Its a cartel that has been in for many years, here, USA, Canada and Europe. Criminals alas. Nice ride Paul.
