Love this race; what this video doesn’t show is the tribute to Caroll Shelby, the namesake of the Shelby Cobra he’s driving. Jeremy did an excellent tribute to him during this film.

I think this particular race said so much about the cross-Europe races in general. Jeremy in the car always won, *always, * didn't matter what he was driving, where they were going, or what boats or trains he used. For this race, the odds were massively stacked against him, he had a strict budget (which to be fair he could've *not* used on a Shelby Mustang and won the race on one tank, but that's by the by) and the fast cross channel ferries of the earlier races were gone, he was left in the dust for most of the race, and still managed to get as close as he did.

Ironically, the actor who played Jason Bourne, ALSO played Carroll Shelby in Ford vs Ferrari!

The match in question was AC Milan vs Anderlecht. And it actually finished 0-0.

Watching this video back in the day as early as the boys began their journey from the stadium was a feeling I can’t recapture or describe. 4am Top Gear used to hit different.
