Windows 10 Game Bar (DVR) records any video/audio, not just games. It's not perfect but it's built in, free and simple to use. I had to mess with my mouse settings (disable all pointer options) to get it to work properly but after that it produced quite acceptable results in mp4 format.

OBS is the best hands down. Record high quality video with no limits, live stream with ease, and even more features you don't even know about. I see no need for having the editing software within the recorder. Save RAM, and really just get better features. If your looking for a powerful, and free editor, Try Davinci Resolve. It's amazing.

you should always check out channels claiming to give out "free" software, this guy seems like a real person, especially because in the video he recommends multiple products. overall i would say this guy probably isn't giving out malware. Always investigate what your downloading honey select to thou-ho.

If you have AMD Radeon graphics card, it would be best using Relive. It's definitely better screen recorder, no restriction and it's free.

Obs for streaming xbox live recorder for recording (it is on ur computer already when you have windows 8 or 10) with win + g u can open the game bar and start recording, but with win + alt + r u can start recording a game straight away and win + alt + m to mute or unmute your mike

Thank for your thorough research but you have one error. Flashback Express does have the limitation of saving your file in their .fbr format if you save your recording immediately BUT if you go straight into review, it will open the editor/player. Where you can EXPORT your file into .avi / .wmv or mp4 options, all the in the free versions.

can someone tell me just how long you can record with tinytake i have a few series and those like 10-20 min vids arent working since it is a batman series. i need something that can record like obs yes, i know i can record with obs but every video ive made has gone to waste cuz it a straight black screen and ive looked up how to solve it and it hasnt worked. if you have a solution for that i will gladly go back to obs

OBS is the one for me. Things that are free versions of payed software but have limited features, well that doesn't say "free" to me. To me free means TOTALLY free, no demos, no time limits, not a cut-down version of a full program, again that's why I go with OBS.
