World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned Friday that the novel coronavirus could “resurge” if countries begin lifting restrictions too early, which he said could make the global economic impact even more severe.

His comments came ahead of a briefing from International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Kristalina Georgieva, who said Friday the global economy has entered a recession as a result of the novel coronavirus and that the situation is “way worse than the global financial crisis”

WHO COVID-19 technical lead Dr. Maria Van Kherkhove added that data from countries around the world indicates that more people under the age of 50 are becoming seriously ill and in some cases dying from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, including those who do not have underlying diseases.

According to numbers compiled by researchers at John Hopkins University there are now 1,066,706 cases of COVID-19 worldwide, with 56,767 deaths as of Friday morning. Hardest-hit is the United States, which has 258,214 cases.

WHY keep asking the SAME questions: on MASKS! Use COMMON SENSE & LOGIC!!! Wear it - when you're feeling under the weather, and you do NOT need an actual mask, without that you can have scarf, home-made types of covers/shields - for best practice: on disease prevention (mindfulness), on courtesy, on strict personal hygiene, on respect toward front-line workers, from medical workers, to cashiers, post office clerks, truck drivers (of reserving the masks, esp. the surgical ones to those who'd need them the most - resources are scare!) Wearing a mask does NOT substitute hand-washing, or other hygiene practices, say behaviors when you sneeze, cough, using barriers when touching handles, or maintaining yr you just feel like wearing a mask, whether you're sick or not, to have that extra sense of security, or just out of OCD, JUST DO IT:)

Lifestyles: obesity, & their co-existing health conditions, whether direct effects of being obese or other co-existing health issues/lifestyle problems, like drug/alcohol/drug-uses, sedentary, stress, sleep issues.... (this aspect might be worth further comprehensive researches, on its effects on COVID - in this specific context, among the obese population, to see about the individual body's inflammatory response mechanism. Inflammation is often managed by anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids, and as it's known to many, prolonged use of anti-inflam. suppresses immunity)

If this guy says to take Paracetamol, you can be assured to only take it as a last resort. Don't break the fever at the start!
Fever is a defence mechanism by the body to slow viral replication (puts virus infected cells outside their optimum enzymatic temperature to allow natural killer cells and the likes to migrate to the site of viral infection). If your temp surpasses 39.4C, it's due to a secondary (bacterial) infection, for which you'll need antibiotics either way.
Break the fever early and you'll leave yourself more prone to secondary infection.
Have Paracetamol on standby if you like, but only take it in case your temperature soar above 39.4C and you'll need antibiotics at that stage anyways.
You can judge this info for yourself!

of course social-economic factors (hence, IMF director is here:)). As the case for individuals in every society, there'd be people who tend to do less well, while projecting this aspect to under-developed countries and regions, the pandemic can be dauntingly catastrophic, this population would share the shortages of goods that exist among low-income/destitute populations in better/well-to-do countries, such as adequate of clean water, basic essentials as food, soap, medical supplies, medicine, etc., while under-developed/remote rural areas got education, infrastructured added to the common challenges for basically all vulnerable populations worldwide....
